Business Leaders recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours

The chief executive of call centre operator the Contact Company in Birkenhead, the owner of Wythenshawe-headquartered shoe repair and key-cutting chain Timpson, and the chief executive of Deeside-based frozen food retailer Iceland are among those to be recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

A total of 1,109 people have received an award this year, of which 962 have been selected at BEM, MBE and OBE level.

They include Asif Hamid MBE, chief executive of the Contact Company, chairman of the Wirral Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, for services to small- and medium-sized businesses. Read More
