The Inaugural Cheshire and Warrington Economic Summit
About this Event
Cheshire and Warrington’s economy is growing at a faster rate than the rest of the Northern Powerhouse, it is home to some of the most significant UK and Global brands and a wealth of high-performing, fast-growth businesses. Jobs are being created and the area continues to benefit from good connectivity north and south.
However, with a volatile political landscape, skills shortage challenges and an ageing resident population, Cheshire and Warrington will need to work hard to maintain its economic performance.
We will be discussing –
- What is needed to ensure it’s a place where businesses and people can thrive?
- How do we ensure it’s a place where people want to live and work?
- What about our sense of place, our identity, what we are known for?
We are delighted to welcome our keynote speaker to Cheshire and Warrington. A leading voice on the UK economy and advisor to Government, Mark Gregory, Chief Economist at EY will deliver an engaging and pragmatic view of the challenges and opportunities facing the UK and sub-regional economy. As the author of the leading independent EY UK Attractiveness Survey, Mark will also discuss the inward investment landscape and the external perceptions of UK Plc as we move closer to leaving the EU.
