Skills and Education for Employment and Business Growth and Productivity
Cheshire and Warrington’s Employers’ Skills and Education Board published a skills and education plan in December 2017 (http://www.871candwep.co.uk/resources/skills-education-plan/) and since then have focused on delivery of the plan.
How do we deliver skills?
Employers Skills and Education Board
The LEPs Employers Skills and Education Board meets monthly and oversee the delivery of the Skills and Education Plan. The Board is private sector led and has representation from various sectors of industry.
The Board will support development of a number of key skills initiatives to help ensure Cheshire and Warrington delivers the right skills that will support economic growth and provide opportunities for all residents.
What do we deliver?
Digital skills Partnership
In 2019 the Cheshire and Warrington Local Digital Skills Partnership launched. The Digital Skills Partnership is a group of employers and other organisation who recognise the growing importance of digital skills to all the businesses and residents of Cheshire and Warrington.
The Partnership will work together with businesses and training providers to develop the skills of the current and future workforces so businesses can fully utilise new digital technologies.
