As a large employer in Cheshire and Warrington, Hydes were interested in The Pledge Partnership and how it could help them to work with schools and showcase careers in the hospitality industry.

Hydes Brewery operate a network of over 50 pubs including locations in South Manchester, Cheshire and North Wales.

Laura Ryan, Personnel Officer at Hydes Brewery explained, “attracting young people into careers in the hospitality sector is vitally important to us, they are our future leaders. With the support of the Pledge Partnership, we have already seen success, having now connected with a number of local education providers to enable us to plan for our future talent pool. We also recently attended a recruitment fair at Helsby High School for the students and hosted a work experience student from Tarporley High School in one of our venues. The Pledge has made accessing these opportunities and talking to young people easier for Hydes Brewery and has enabled a wide number of young people to learn more about careers in the hospitality sector.”

Pledge Lead, Trevor Langston added, “The Pledge puts employers at the heart of inspiring, informing and communicating with the next generation of employees.  Employers large and small are working with the Pledge so that we can directly inspire young people with the vast range of career opportunities available to them, as well as supporting employers to have a hands-on role in shaping and developing their future workforce.  Hydes Brewery are a great example of a company that is engaging with the Pledge in a multitude of ways to generate tangible benefit for their organisation.”
