The SMART Cheshire innovation challenge is offering tailored support to entrepreneurs and small businesses across the region to help them develop new products or services and grow, through a 12-week business innovation programme.
NPIF provides commercial finance through three types of product funds: Microfinance, Debt Finance and Equity Finance. These funds provide funding options are designed to plug common gaps in the provision of finance, giving your business access to the funding it needs to help it grow.

Evergreen Urban Development Fund
Investments will be broadly targeted in three areas:
• £8m low carbon to fund energy efficiency property developments or retro fit existing property developments, including installation of solar panels, additional insulation, LED lighting
• £7m research and innovation for new labs and technical spaces
• £5m business support – for SMEs to grow and develop
Cheshire and Warrington Access to Finance and Grant programme
Funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Cheshire West & Chester Council & Warrington & Co, the C&W Access to Finance & Grant Programme will provide information, advice & signposting to those SMEs looking to raise significant investment in their business to support their growth plans.
Alongside this advice service the project will provide SMEs with access to grants of between £2,000 – £15,000 towards consultancy projects which will help to unlock their potential and grow their business.
Start Up Loans
Start Up Loans are government-backed personal loans of up to £25,000 for starting a new business or helping to grow an existing business. In addition to finance, successful applicants receive 12-months of free mentoring and exclusive business offers to help them succeed.

EEN can help you do business in Europe and beyond. EEN can help you launch new products or services, access finance, find international partners, expand into new countries.
Provides cutting-edge ideas and solutions to put your business ahead of the curve in the use, design and manufacture of materials.

International Trade Support
The Enhancing SMEs International Trade Performance Programme offers a range of support and funded grants to help the growth and development of your export business. This includes match funded grants of £1,500-£3,000 for eligible companies.
The Pledge Partnership
The Pledge Partnership enables businesses to work together with educators to provide young people in Cheshire and Warrington with everything they need to succeed in the world of work. Employers can work directly with young people, teachers, parents, carers and youth workers to help the local community identify the employment opportunities available.
Digital Skills Partnership
The Digital Skills Partnership works together with businesses and training providers to develop the skills of the current and future workforces to enable them to take full advantage of new digital technologies. It will also help residents and employees across Cheshire and Warrington to acquire the digital skills they need to live in an increasingly digital economy and move into work or to progress in work.
Business Growth Programme
Pre Start Support / Business Support for newly created and more established SMEs
Offers support to people looking to start a business, newly formed businesses in the first 42 months of trading and more established SMEs looking to grow their business. On offer is fully funded support in the form of one-to-one meetings, workshops, seminars, masterclasses and more
Provides SME manufacturers with impartial expertise to assess business opportunities and barriers to growth in order to make improvement recommendations and identify a possible project for grant support across a variety of business areas; including production efficiencies, sales & marketing, IT & digitalisation, systems and innovation.
Cheshire & Warrington Health Matters
The programme helps Cheshire and Warrington businesses working in the health and life sciences sector with products or services of interest to the NHS.
Offering guidance on pitching and presenting, can signpost businesses to other initiatives and offers regular healthcare market focused events.
